Stampin' With The Dragon Challenge #16

It's time for another challenge over at Stampin' with the Dragon and this time we're sponsored by the awesome Stitchy Bear who very generously gave the DT some fab images and a gorgeous scrap pack to play with.

The theme this week is Sparkle/Shine, so get out your glitter and show us what you've got! The winner of this challenge will receive 5 digis of their choice from Stitchy's Collection, Floppy Latte's Collection, and Kelly Kids Collection.

I decided that I'd make a contemporary coloured Christmas card and I have to say I don't dislike the end result!

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and then diecut with Large Oval Nesties. I've then inked the edge with Distress Ink. To make the image sparkle and shine, I've added Diamond Stickles and Glossy Accents. Finally, it's been mounted onto a brown scalloped oval.

The white of the card base has been knocked back with distress ink, the papers have then been matted and layered. I ran the organza swiss dots ribbon from Crafty Ribbons through my Xyron Sticker Machine and secured the bow with hot glue. The brown snowflakes have been given a light spray of Glimmer Mist and then dotted with Gold Stickles, the pink ones have had a light coat of Rock Candy Stickles. The centre of the snowflakes is Craftwork Cards Card Candy which has been coloured with Promarkers and then given a light coat of Gold Stickles.

The sentiment is from Catslife Press and I've again used Distress Inks to knock back the white.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind you that we have a couple of other challenges/events running over at CDAC. The first one is being hosted by the lovely Tams, who has a fabulous sketch and oh so gorgeous image for you to play with. The second one is the Ear Trust Card Drive. Please do pop over and check them out.

Don't forget to stop by the rest of the DT this week as they have created some truly amazing projects for your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by.
