I've made this card for another of my close friends. We don't exchange gifts and as this is essentially a card I don't think she will be able to be cross with me for buying her a present, cos it's not really a pressie is it?
Anyway, I spotted this tutorial over a Tickled Pink Stamps for a tealight card, but knew immediately that it would be ideal for putting a handful of choccies in! It was really quick and easy to make and made even easier by the fact that I used a Lily of the Valley Cute Squares Die Cut :)
The DP's are Rusty Pickle. I ran short of the DP's, so had to raid my Papermill stash for some plain co-ordinating papers and as it happens I don't think I did too badly with my colour selection! I ran the band of red through the Big Shot in a Craft Concepts Embossing Folder. Die cut the Lily of the Valley square with my nesties and then added glossy accents to the holly, bow, boots and dog's eyes. I then added Picket Fence Stickles to the fur trim and Stardust to the snow. The snowflakes were cut using my Marianne Creatables and are topped with a Woodware button.
I placed a die cut scalloped circle and circle on the inside to write on. The box has been filled with a few sweets. Et voila a nice little treat card.
