Docrafts Pop Up Box Christmas Parcel Card

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend? I had a really quiet weekend and managed to sneak in a bit of crafty me time. I can't show you what I've been making yet, so thought I'd share one of my recent Docrafts Demo pieces.

This was a really quick and easy card using a Goody Bag, decorative tape, die cut felt shapes and some acetate.

To make, I simply trimmed approximately 1cm off of the edge of a glitter card blank. I then scored the card on the opposite by an equal amount. Keeping the scored edge folded, the edges were then folded to the centre before cutting the card in half on the long edge. Finally I added some staging upon which to mount the embellishments.

I think this makes a really quick and easy show stopper of a card. The best bit is you can make three of these from one goody bag and still have loads of stash left to create with.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Octavia Moonfly - Unicorn Dreams Pop Up Box Card

Just a quickie from me today. I wanted show you my latest card using the new Octavia Moonfly Collection from Polka Doodles which is available not only as a CD and full digital download but also as individual digital downloads. I'm going to apologise in advance for the picture overload, but this card was so tricky to photograph and I'm still not sure that my pictures do it justice!

Anyway, I've made a little pop up box (the template for which can be found on the new Work & Play 9 Collection). I think I'm officially addicted to making these and actually can't think that I'm going to bored of making them as everyone is so completely different - I just hope you guys don't get bored of seeing them!

I coloured the image with Prisma Pencils (go gentle with me I'm still learning and experimenting with them) and used a selection of die cuts.

All of the papers were from the collection and as I needed a lemon paper and there wasn't one, I simply changed the colour in word. To finish, everything has been given a generous sprinkling of glitter to add to the magical, dreamy effect.

For those of you who have ever wondered whether or not I have any help with my projects, well I can confirm that I do! Luckily this one passed Lillie's stringent quality check!

Oh just one more thing before I go. Polka Doodles is having a DT call and we need talented people for our Challenge Blog and Facebook Team. If you're interested in applying please pop over and read our requirements ( the closing date says the 7/2/2015 but we still have a few places so please do apply) http://polkadoodle.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/design-team-call.html

Right that's me done for today. So thanks for dropping by.

Tatty Twinkles USA Pop Up Box Card

Are you fed up with these Create and Craft USA samples yet? I hope not.....

As soon as I saw this image and the Puff Balls Dies I knew I had to make a pop up box incorporating them. I'm not going to waffle on about how I made it as it follows pretty much the same format as other boxes I have made and blogged about.

I've also used the new Decorative Bunting dies from Tattered Lace which I have to say are lush.

As always I've stamped the image onto Ultimate Graphic Paper and coloured the image with Graph'It Markers.

I hope you like my project for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Another Pop Up Box Card!

I know, I know.....but these are such fun to make and each one looks totally different so hopefully you'll forgive me? The post is a touch picture heavy but that's because there's so much going on :)

I made this card as a sample for the Create and Craft launch of the new Tatty Twinkles Timeless collection. I used a selection of Tattered Lace Dies and of course the new Timeless Tatty Twinkles Stamps. I have to say this was one of those makes where you're never quite sure where it's going to take you, but I think it worked out OK.

The base was made using the no measure technique as demonstrated here by Nikky Hall. If you haven't tried one of these little cards because you think they look to complicated or time consuming then watch the video and I'm sure you'll be dashing off to make one!

Tatty and the dragonflies were stamped on Ultimate Graphic Paper and coloured with Graph'It Markers and then I added Stickles to the wings and the edge of her dress and Glossy Accents to her shoes.

I used three of the new dies from Tattered Lace - Bell Flower Border DieChristmas Florals Rose Hips, Butterflies. All of the dies were coloured with Graph'It Markers before being glittered, shaped and embellished with gems.

To finish I added some Dew Drops, gems, lace, beads and ribbons.

I hope you're not bored to tears with seeing these boxes? I will have something different to show you soon!!!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Graph'It Marker Challenge Inspiration - 60th Birthday Rock 'n' Roll Pop Up Box Card

Morning. It's been a bit a hectic around here and as a result I got myself completely confused over this weeks challenge post on Graph'It Markers!! :) It's supposed to be transparency but for some mad reason I got glass stuck in my mind and went of down that route! Anyway, I really hope that you will join us for this challenge - remember you don't need to use Graph'It markers to enter and you could win some lush goodies from GI.

This card was a last minute customer commision and it's actually the person in questions birthday today! He's a massive Ozzy Osbourne fan and so the request was for an Ozzy style card. This is what I've come up with, I hope he likes it!!!

I was worried about using an image of Ozzy from the internet due to copyright issues and so decided to create my own. I found it really hard to colour him up as all of his clothing and hair are black, but I think I just about pulled it off (definitely need more practice with black though!!).

Ingredients:
Graph'It Markers:
Skin - 4115, 4120,4125
Hair & Clothes - 9909, 9506, 9504
Lettering - 5245
Sizzix Bat Die
Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes Die
Embossing Folder
Gilding Wax
DCWV Rockstar Paperstack
Glossy Accents
Black Glitter

Thanks for stopping by today.

Gorjuss Girl 50th Birthday Pop Up Box Card

Well this is something a little different from me today! It's something I've NEVER done before but will definitely be repeating in the future!!! I just hope that no one is going to judge me negatively (well to be honest if they do then tough cos it's not going to change my mind!!!). So what have I done? Well I only went and bought the Gorjuss Girls Ultimate Decoupage Pack!! No wait, come back, it's not as bad as seems!!! I only bought it because it was heavily reduced and contained some lush papers which would go with the rubber stamps. My plan was to snag the papers and give the decoupage to the kids to play with! However when I opened it I soon changed my mind, the decoupage is stunning and ideal for those impressive but quick makes. Hopefully this pop up box card will show you what I mean? Sorry for the picture overload, it's one of those cards that has way too many details to show in just one picture!

I made this card for my SIL's 50th Birthday and  was really surprised at how quickly the whole thing pulled together. I followed Nikky Hall's video tutorial for the no measure pop up box card which can be found here. The image is from the pack and I've layered it up with Pinflair Glue before selecting my papers and potential embellishments.

I cut the papers to size and attached them to the box and then decided that I wasn't completely happy and that something was missing. So I grabbed the Gorjuss Girls stamp set and used the silhouette branch to stamp and then heat emboss directly onto the papers. I then inked the edges of the box and added some silver embossing powder.

Next I die cut lots of leaves in two assorted colours of cardstock and punched some flowers out of a co-ordinating paper. I also cut some railings (which of you look carefully you can just about see peeking out from behind the image) and attached some numbers to fine wire before adding all of the elements to the card.

Once I was happy with the arrangement I decided to decorate the box flaps with some ribbon and more elements from the decoupage kit and stamped a Birthday greeting on the front of the card. To finish I added lots of sparkle with Stickles and a Shake It Glitter Pen.

So what do you think? Decoupage kits rock? Well I think this one certainly does! You can expect to see a few more Gorjuss makes from me in the future using this kit, so keep your eyes peeled!
