A Quick Monochrome Card

Sorry...... it's yet another Stamp Soup sample! This was another one made for the Create and Craft TV launch. It's super simple and yet (I think) really effective.

I've simply used the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation stamp impressions to create the flower, added a couple of leaves and a stem and then stamped the sentiment. The image has then been matted and layered onto some silver glitter tape and black card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Monochromatic Sweet Pea Ching Chou Kuik's Fluttering Butterflies Acetate Card

Yay it's the weekend (well almost) and I can't wait! I'm off to The Craft Barn this weekend and am really looking forward to it! In case you haven't heard they have their extravaganza weekend where basically they take over the whole of Lingfield village with craft demos. The full line up can be found here.

So onto this weeks challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers which is Monochromatic. We want to see creations using a single colour in lots of shades and tones. We are sponsored by the lovely Lynette from Sweet Pea Stamps who is offering a 3 count grab bag of stamps. If your wanting some inspiration, please stop by the rest of the DT's blogs where they have some amazing projects.

Anyway, here's my offering for the week.

I stamped Ching-Chou Kuik's Fluttering Butterflies onto smooth white cardstock. The image has been coloured with a range of Black and Grey Promarkers and then high-lighted with Stickles and Enamel Accents. I ran a sheet of acetate through an embossing folder to create the card base. The image was then mounted onto black card and attached to the acetate. I then attached matching black mounts the reverse of the image and inside and to the rear of the card. The eyelash fibre, flowers and butterfly were from my stash.

I hope you all have a great weekend, thanks as always for stopping by.

Princess Tilda in Black & White

I bought a few back issues of The Craft Stamper Magazine last week and in one of them there was an article about colouring in Black and White. I was really inspired by the article and decided to have a play. This is what I've come up with.

I've coloured Tilda using Promarkers and the blender pen. She's then been cut out and given some dimension by running an embossing tool round the edges to make them curl. She's then been adhered to the card using black foam pads. I've made the flower and vine leaves using this tutorial from What a Beautiful Mess.

Tools
Decoupage scissors
Spellbinder Nestabilites Large Circles
Sizzix Bigshot
X-cut border punch
Paper Crimper
Purple Cows Guillotine

Materials
Black & White card from stash
Black & Silver paper from stash
