Elegant Shaped Card

This is my penultimate make from Papercraft Essentials Magazine. I think it's possibly one of the cutest little cards I've made (I actually didn't want to send this one off to the editor).

It was surprisingly difficult to photograph, so I've uploaded two images as one clearly shows the card free standing, whilst the other shows more of the detail.

Simply Elegant!

I'm nearly done sharing my makes from Papercraft Essentials Mag issue 148, another 2 and that's it! I absolutely love the way this one turned out, which is good in all honesty as it was an experiment! Would you believe that it uses the little bird stamp again? It looks totally different everytime I use it!

Polka Doodles Bird and Cage Card

Sharing another make from Papercraft Essentials Magazine using Polka Doodles stamps and dies. I love how versatile the little bird is, you wouldn't think he was the same one used on the card I shared here.

I'll be sharing another card tomorrow, so don't forget to swing by.

Pretty Little Things!

Just thought I'd share one of my recent makes from Papercraft Essentials Magazine Issue 148 using stamps and dies from Polka Doodles.

It's not my usual style but I really love how this card turned out.

These dies and stamps are fabulous to work with and incredibly versatile.

Can you see the little opening door on the birdhouse? Cute huh?

I'll share some more of makes from the magazine over the next few days.

Got a spare 30 minutes?

If you answered yes, then you have plenty of time to whip up at least three different cards using the Xcut Diamond Lattice Cut and Emboss Folder.

I've used the vellum from the Capsule Elements Pigments A4 Ultimate Paper Collection to make these two cards. The vellum is beautiful and has a ombre effect. It dry embosses perfectly and as you can see from the second card accepts heat embossing perfectly too.

The third card is using one of the papers from the above collection. Again I've used heat embossing on the card.

Winnie in Winterland Shadow Box Card

I'm sharing this quick and easy shadow box card today. It was another sample for the Polkadoodles show on Create and Craft.

  1. Select a decorative paper from the Winnie in Wonderland CD and print it onto cardstock.
  2. Use the Marianne Design Box Card die to cut the card from the printed cardstock.
  3. Select a tree image, bow, sentiment and Winnie in Winterland with the polar bear and import them into a word document (or your chosen software) and resize to fit the box card.
  4. Print and cut the images.
  5. Cut "snow drifts" from papers and attach to the staging. Then glue the other pieces into position.
  6. To finish add glitter.

Thanks for stopping by today.
