Tatty Twinkles USA Pop Up Box Card

Are you fed up with these Create and Craft USA samples yet? I hope not.....

As soon as I saw this image and the Puff Balls Dies I knew I had to make a pop up box incorporating them. I'm not going to waffle on about how I made it as it follows pretty much the same format as other boxes I have made and blogged about.

I've also used the new Decorative Bunting dies from Tattered Lace which I have to say are lush.

As always I've stamped the image onto Ultimate Graphic Paper and coloured the image with Graph'It Markers.

I hope you like my project for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Tatty Twinkles USA - Disney Scrap Page Card

As promised I'm showing you another of my samples that I made for the Tattered Lace and Create & Craft US launch shows. This was a really quick and easy scrap layout that I turned into a card. I think this is possibly my favourite stamp set out of the entire collection!

I used the negatives from the Puff Balls Cutting Die and some Distress Ink to create the background. The frame is the gorgeous Butterfly Tapestry which I've cut down and then glittered up and added some gems to.  I stamped the Tatty Twinkles Mouse onto Ultimate Graphic Paper and coloured her with Graph'It Markers before cutting her out and layering her onto the layout. I stamped the sentiment onto black card and then layered it up. To finish I added a bit of ribbon and some buttons.

I've got a couple more projects to show you over the next few days. Thanks for stopping by today.

Tatty Twinkles USA - Altered Sneakers Mini Tutorial

Happy New Year to you all. Sorry I've not posted for ages but life has been a little chaotic here and I sadly lost my Grandfather on Christmas Eve. As a result I'm afraid that my posts will remain very sporadic.

A little while ago I told you that I was working on a really exciting project, well finally I can you what it is. As some of you may or may not be aware Create & Craft have officially launched in the USA and one of the first products to be shown was a new line of Tatty Twinkles stamps and dies. Guess who was asked to create some projects for the launch? Yes that's right me! Talk about lucky huh? Anyway, I decided that I'd alter a pair of sneakers which was great fun and definitely something I will be doing in the future. I've also made this into a mini tutorial just in case anyone fancies having a go themselves.

The sneakers were a cheap and cheerful pair from Primark which had been reduced to clear as they were slightly marked. This meant I had to even out the base, so I covered them with a thin coat of Gesso.

I then stamped the images onto tissue paper using Stazon Ink and tore the images out carefully before painting a thin coat of Gesso over the image. I then coloured the images with my Graph'It markers on the reverse.

Next I coated the images with Mod Podge and adhered them to the shoes.

Once the Mod Podge had dried I used a Graph'It Marker to draw around the images to make them pop a little more and then added some Stickles Glitter Glue for a bit of added sparkle.

To finish I added some funky ribbon for laces.

I hope you like my little project and if you decide to make your own sneakers using this tutorial please link back here and show me what you've done.

I'll be back later in the week another of my samples. Thanks for stopping by today.
