Look what I've had published in Pen & Paper Circle 4 - My Vintage Christmas Card!

Have you got your copy of the Pen & Paper Circle 4 yet? If so then you'll see that I've had this card published in there - does a little happy dance! If you missed ordering this issue then keep an eye on our Facebook page and the store as occasionally one or two issues become available (and when I say one or two I literally mean one or two). Issue 5 is now available to order, but you'll need to be quick as orders are only being taken until 7th October.

PS. Thanks to everyone who commented on my Faux Metal Box and left comments suggesting I try either coke cans or metal tape. I did try coke tins, but it didn't give me quite the finish I wanted and then I found the panel wasn't quite big enough to cover the box :( The tape would've been fine but again it wasn't quite wide enough for the box. Hence me using foil! I will be doing a tutorial on the kitchen foil technique for those of you who either emailed or asked via Facebook. x

Well that was short 'n' sweet!

Well did you tune into Create & Craft at midday today to see the release of the new Studio 12 Picknix Collection 1 CD? If so you'll have seen that 80% of the stock went in the first 15 minutes and was a complete sell out before the end of the show! Unfortunately that meant very few of the samples got shown (and looking at the first camera pan round there were some crackers) but worse still hardly any of the collections on the disc got shown! You can watch the show here to get an idea of what I'm talking about!

However, there is some good news, you can buy the download version from here.

Anyway, here's one of mine that I spotted on display. I'll show the rest of them as and when I get time to write up the blog posts, although I might just cop out and pop some photo's on :/

This was a really quick and easy card that was created in Craft Artist Professional and then printed out onto fabric using the freezer paper technique. I simply dropped one of the backing papers onto the template, added the cross stitched heart, placed the word art sentiment onto blank area of my template and hit print. I then cut out the sentiment and frayed out the edges, trimmed around the main image and adhered it to a piece of card before mounting onto the card blank. To finish I added some Glossy Accents to the needle, faux stitching around the edge and some buttons.

I have to say I honestly think this one of the best collections that Polka Doodles have released - I pulled together a few samples, but have had to grab a note book to jot down my other ones!
