Good morning bloggers I bet you thought I'd forgotten to post my card for the Sweet Stampers Challenge? Well I hadn't, I just had a few issues with blogger and my camera and by the time they were resolved it meant my post was going to be really late, so I figured I give you something to read whilst you eat your cornflakes this morning ;)
The challenge this time is "Things With Wings" and the prize is a grab bag of 3 Sweet Pea stamps kindly provided by the lovely Lynette over at Sweet Pea Stamps. The DT have created some beautiful cards for your inspiration, so please do try and find time to stop by their blogs.
I've decided that I need to ink up more of my Sweet Peas, so I'm on a mission to use a different one for each challenge. This week I decided to use Purple Hearts and boy was she a delight to colour. I'm not sure what's happened in my photo, it looks like the highlights in her hair harsh lines, but they are really blended IRL (well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it - LOL). Anyway, here's the card I made for your inspiration - I hope you like it.
The image is Ching Chou Kuiks Purple Hearts. I've coloured it with Promarkers and have then added Sakura Clear Star Gel Pen to her dress and Star Dust Stickles to her wings and the eye mask. I pleated the seam binding prior to securing it to the reverse of the image. The papers are First Edition Spring Feast which have been distressed. The buttons are from Woodware.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend, thanks for stopping by today.

LOTV Mother's Day Card
Good afternoon! Just popping on to show the last of my Mother's Day makes. This time it's the card I made for my Mum.
The image is of course Dandelion Clock from Lily of the Valley which has been coloured with Promarkers and then highlighted with Stickles and Glossy Accents before softening the edges with Distress Ink.The gorgeous glittery papers are Spring Feast by First Edition and these have been matted and layered onto pearlescent card stock. The corners have been rounded using a We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. The scalloped punch is a cheapie X-Cut one. The seam binding is from Crafty Ribbons and the buttons are part of set from Woodware. The sentiment has been stamped onto a tag which comes with the DP pad. The rosette has been made using the Tim Holtz Rosette Die from Sizzix.
