Good morning, sorry I haven't been around very much but I've been ill and life in general has got in the way of crafting. Anyway I'm here today with my challenge inspiration project for Graph'It Markers which is ICE. The time we'd love to see Ice or Water on your projects. Remember you don't need to use Graph'It Markers to enter, (although we'd love it if you did) and you're picked as the lucky winner you will win a set of Graph'It Markers.
I decided that I'd make a wall hanging this week using the Skater Girl from Polka Doodles Festive Hollybobs collection (she is available not only CD or full digital download but also as a single Digi Stamp). I had a bit of an accident whilst colouring the ice and didn't have to for a remake, so I carefully cut her out and created the background separately. I used the Graph'It Mix It Palette, Mix It Fluid and a paintbrush to create the ice which I then roughly coated in Glossy Accents before dragging a toothpick through it to create skate tracks. Unfortunately when I placed the image onto the ice it looked a little bare, so after much huffing and puffing I decided that 'd make a background using the acetate technique I showed you the other week. The fabulous thing was the glue created a resist which meant that the background only went where I wanted it. I then added some punched glittered snowflakes before mounting the image into a card box frame.
To finish I added some pine boughs from the Gingerbread Twist Picknix Collection, paper flowers, felt mittens and skates and a button.
Well that's it from me today. Hopefully I'll be back to normal fairly soon and will feel like creating. I'll try to pop round and visit all of your blogs as well.
Thanks for stopping by today.
